Request for Information

Hello.

I'm currently doing some research into how people use EA. I've tried posting a general message on the Sparx website but thought I might have more luck posting a message here.

Would anyone be willing to discuss their experience of using EA to design systems? I'm trying to get in touch with any other UK-based companies who use EA.

At my company we have tended...

Any changes affecting UML Business Modelling Profiles Build 792

What is the status of the Business Process Modelling Profile and the Eriksson-Penker Profile? I've just tried to add packages sterotyped as organisation units and encountered several not UML compliant error messages when using the communicate and subscribe links in the first Profile mentioned above.

Methodology (DoDAF - FEAF) and EA

Morning all, that's my doubt: [Copyed and pasted from EA forum]

Hi Bruno and thx,
I downloaded the 250 pages pdf doc about DoDAF on USA Army site .. and also find out something about FEAF on Rational documentation.

I also got the matrix map of Zachman framework.

Starting from this matrix I'm trying to figure out which cells have to been used for the documentation and the organization...

Importing OMG's UML 2.0 Testing Profile into EA

I've been looking at the OMG 'UML 2.0 Testing Profile Specification' http://www.omg.org/docs/ptc/04-04-02.pdf and would like to have this profile available in EA.  The specification includes the XMI Schema that I have extracted from the PDF file at attached.  Is there a way to import this profile into EA? I have been unsuccessful doing a straight profile inport with EA. ...

ColdFusion code generation templates added to documents.

I couldn't find a place to describe the file I uploaded, so this is my best candidate.

The file I uploaded lets EA generate ColdFusion .cfc files for each of the classes in your project.  This can save you tons of typing!

The file is called cfea.xml

Category of discussion topics

Hello,

we have added the ability to select a category (or multiple categories) for each discussion topic. Any suggestions on what categories should be included are most welcome!

Thanks!

EA Issues section of this site

We have created an area for logging EA Issues. This by no means replaces the bug reporting functionality of Sparx Systems' website! We have invited Sparxx Systems support to join this site and could set it up so any issues reported from here would be automatically e-mailed to Sparx, however this is not currently the case.
Having the EA Issues feature here could be useful as it would make the issues...

While this is not required, it will help everyone get better idea of who the users of the website are.

Hello,

welcome to the EA User Group website. The site is still very much under development, which also means that any comments or suggestions are most welcome and probably easy to implement.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, please post them here and we will see what we can do! :-)

EA User Group website

Thanks! Hopefully this will prove useful!

We have invited Sparx Systems to join the site as well, perhaps the EA Issues feature could help with submitting the issues and keeping track of them.
Notice the "Alert me" option that let's you specify e-mail alerts on any changes or additions to the site. This could be used for example to receive automated e-mail alerts about new EA Releases...
